WHAT I LEARNED WHEN I READ THE BIBLE
In Genesis 16:13 we see Hagar call the angel of the Lord by name: God. But how do we really know this was God? We can compare with other verses to find the answer. In Genesis 22:1, 12-18 we see twice the angel of the Lord calling to Abraham, and the angel of the Lord refers to himself as God. In Exodus 3 the angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in the burning bush, and we see in verse 4 “God called to him from the midst of the bush.” God and the angel of the Lord are one in the same.
