Returning to the Table: Continuing the Mission of Celebrate By Lisa Lou

For many years, writing was one of the primary ways I connected with you. Through reflections and essays, we engaged in conversations centered on hospitality, faith, family, and the sacred rhythm of gathering around the dinner table. Those blogs were never about filling space on a website or producing content for visibility. They were about formation, strengthening homes and reminding families that what happens within their walls shapes far more than they often realize.

As part of this next chapter, I am beginning to share these longer reflections again through Substack, a platform designed for thoughtful essays and ongoing conversation.

If you would like to follow along and receive these essays directly in your inbox as they are published, you can subscribe here:

The essays will also appear on our website, but by subscribing on Substack they will be delivered directly to your inbox each week.

Two years ago, God led us into a new chapter that expanded that mission. Opening the Celebrate By Lisa Lou store was not a departure from our calling; it was obedience to the next step within it. We sensed clearly that He was inviting us to create a physical space that embodied what we had long been teaching, a place where hospitality could be seen, touched, practiced, and shared in tangible ways. Building the store required faith, resilience, and careful stewardship as that foundation was established.

Now, with a wonderful Celebrate By Lisa Lou team in place, the foundation is steady, and with that stability comes renewed clarity.

Our store has always been about more than beautiful products. It has been about cultivating gracious homes, teaching hospitality as ministry, and strengthening families around the dinner table.

As we have walked alongside so many of you, we have learned something important. It is rarely lack of desire that keeps families from opening their homes. More often, it is fear: fear that the home is not perfect enough, that the meal will not impress, or that the evening will feel awkward. That quiet fear has kept many tables empty.

Part of our renewed focus is helping families move beyond that fear. Hospitality is not about performance; it is about obedience and presence. It is about opening your door in the midst of ordinary life and trusting that God works through faithfulness more than perfection. We want to equip families with the confidence and practical tools to host graciously, not because everything is flawless, but because their hearts are willing.

With the store now established, I am able to return more fully to writing and sharing these reflections again.

Everything we do, whether through these essays or within the store itself, continues pointing back to our original mission: forming gracious hosts, cultivating gracious homes, and strengthening families around the dinner table.

Through thoughtfully designed tablescape rentals, we help families host beautifully without feeling overwhelmed. Through elegantly curated hostess gifts and meaningful milestone gifts, we encourage the habit of honoring others with intention and care. Our beautiful gift wrapping reflects thoughtfulness and communicates value, and our events bring the mission to life in practical and joyful ways.

As we continue refining the store to reflect this mission more clearly, we ask you to bear with us. Refreshing spaces and reorganizing certain areas of the store may bring occasional disruption as we make these improvements.

Our commitment extends beyond the walls of the store. One hundred percent of our profits are given to children's charities because we believe deeply in investing in the next generation. Strengthening children strengthens families, and strengthening families strengthens society.

The dinner table remains central because it is one of the most strategic places in a culture. Around that table, children learn how to listen and how to speak. They learn gratitude. They learn thoughtfulness. They learn how to welcome others and how to enter another’s home with respect. Marriages are strengthened there. Faith is discussed there. Character is shaped there.

We are returning to the table with purpose, grateful for where He has brought us and confident in where He is leading next.

Together with you,

Lisa Lou
