Washing fresh berries in their plastic containers and putting them in the refrigerator usually means you end up tossing half the bunch due to mold. My favorite recent find? A berry bowl! They are usually made of ceramic and have tiny holes at the bottom. They are a smaller version of a colander but pretty enough to leave out on your counter. I no longer wash all the berries I bring home. Each morning I pull out only what I will eat that day, rinse the fruit in my bowl and leave it out on my counter as I nibble on fresh fruit throughout the day. Berry bowls come in many decorative varieties and are a great addition to your entertaining pieces.
