Cubed Steak with Garlic Butter



Crispy, garlicky, and buttery, what's not to love with this delicious dish? Prepared in just about 15 minutes it is a quick way to get a yummy protein ready for dinner on a busy evening. A great way to cook and season sirloin steak, this recipe is a hit whenever I serve it. Fantastic accompanies by grilled asparagus and potatoes, it is also tasty when thrown into a corn tortilla with some chopped red onion and cilantro. Enjoy!


Makes 4 servings

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes



Ingredients:

*1 tablespoon olive oil

*1 1/4 pound sirloin steak, cubed

*1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper

*2 tablespoons butter, salted

*3 garlic cloves, minced

*Sprinkle of red pepper flakes

*1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped


Preparation:

*Heat cast iron skillet over medium high heat, it should take about 5-8 minutes to fully heat. Add olive oil once hot.

*Pull your steak out of the fridge and dab it with a paper towels until dry. Let sit for 5 minutes and dab again.

*Cube steak and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

*Add steak to the skillet and sear for 2 minutes without stirring. Then stir and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes until cooked to an internal temperate of 145F.

*Move steak out of the skillet and add the butter to the pan. Once melted, add in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds until the garlic just starts to brown.

*Pour the garlic butter over the stake and toss well before topping with cilantro to serve.
