God’s Path to Mental Health

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10 NIV). The word lost in Greek meant “broken beyond repair.” “On hearing this, Jesus said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.’” (Mark 2:17 NIV). Yet we also learn, “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23 ESV).

We have sinned, we are broken, and Jesus came to heal the broken. As Dr. Cloud, Christian psychologist, has often paraphrased, steps to healing our mental health can be found in almost every page of our Bible. Dive into God’s Word, but also seek out doctors and counselors that believe as you believe and follow the path to mental health that God has already written.
